Some of our members went to the memorial in New York City, to honor those who have died in the line of duty. The services were to honor all who have died between October 2000 and October 2002. and estimated 50,000 firefighters were in attendance from around the world.
The services were held on October 12th at Madison Square Garden in Manhatten. Members Estes and Bolduc had the honor of being flag berors for the event. All members did get inside for the service.
During the trip we stopped at a few fire stations for directions. We would like to thank members of Engine 23 and members from the house of Engine 24 & Ladder 5 for their hospitality. Of course we looked up Engine Co #6. They are located on Beekman St in Manhatten. The members were great and invited us back any time that we wanted.
