The new truck features a 3000 gallon water tank, 1000 gpm pump, a quick dump and improved safety features. The truck has more compartment space for equipment. Equipment includes SCBA's, rural hitch equipment, and equipment carried by engines.
The truck responds to districts in the city without hydrant coverage as well as mutual aid calls as requested.
It is a 2010 Kenworth truck. It was built by Mid-West fire.
Our old Tanker Six was a retro-fitted 1987 Ford L8000 oil tanker that held 2,100 gallons of water.
This truck was built 'in-house' by our mechanic.
