Engine #6 is a 1997 Pierce Saber. It has a 1500 gpm pump, with 4 pre-connected 1 3/4 lines and 2 pre-connected 2 1/2 lines. It carries 1000 feet of 4 inch hose.  It was with us from 2005-2014. The truck had a total makeover in the summer of 2006, just before being assigned to us. It has now placed into service as a reserve engine (Engine 2).
The previous Engine #6 was this 1977 Ward- LaFrance. It had a 1000 gpm pump. It was in service as Engine #6 from 1989-1994. It was then sold to a local volunteer department.
This Mack engine was in service as Engine #6 until 1989. It was taken out of service from the BFD fleet from this assignment.
This hand pump Engine served as "Tiger 6" from 1847 until 1864. It is pictured here in front of their station on State Street hill. The picture was taken sometime after 1854.
This McCann engine (cira. late 1920's) Served as Engine #6. The dates are unknown and the truck can be seen at the Cole Land Museum in Bangor. This photo was taken when Station 6 was on the corner of Center & Montgomery Streets.
This Engine #6 is a 1989 Pierce Arrow. It has a 1250 gpm pump, with 4 pre-connected 1 3/4 lines and 2 pre-connected 2 1/2 lines. It carries 1000 feet of 4 inch hose.  It was  with us from 1994 until September 2005. The truck was rebuilt in late 2001 and  assigned as Engine 2 (spare engine). It was taken out of service in 2014 and sold.

Engine #6 is a 2015 Pierce Saber. It has a 1500 gpm pump, with 4 pre-connected 1 3/4 lines and 2 pre-connected 2 1/2 lines. It carries 1000 feet of 4 inch hose. Along with all of the fire equipment, we also carry  Holmatro extrication tools. Our EMS equipment consists of a jump kit, oxygen, cervical collars, long board, ALS equipment, a LP 15 defibrillator, and Paramedic level meds. It was placed into service in November 2014 - its' sister truck Engine #5 were placed into service at the same time.
